I set up a little challenge for myself to draw some real things. So I did a little but I did not get far after this picture.

I kinda like it since it has been about two months since I did it and now I am finally submitting it.

What do you think? Unlike most other ones, I encourage people to destroy this on with critique since I have no special attachment with it.

Hmmmm... to be honest, I have no idea what the proportions a dog head is.. but I think it turned over very nice.
I did a dog drawing a long time ago... you don't even wanna see it. XD

Although I have never seen a Shepherd with such light fur. o.o

I did the drawing from a dog show/breed book so I guess they showed a show dog worthy picture.

I just realized that I did them wrong. :o Lighting is inverted from what it should be.

I love this kind of dog. I have a thing for German breeds. One of the last things I did in traditional media that wasn't for class was of a Doberman.

This is colored well and I like the detail on the fur. The shine on the dog's eyes looks really nice - very photo-esque in a good way. The main things that I see wrong with this is that I can't tell if the dog is looking forward or down. If the dog is looking forward, then the muzzle could be foreshortened better, but if it's looking down, then that is right on. I also can't tell where the light source is. Overall, though, I am liking this. I like those ears, especially.
