FINALLY!! I'm done! *phew* I felt like this took me forever to do. About 22 hours in all I believe over a month's time.
My entry for the Umbreon Fan Club  . My entry is to show the Fire Fox vs. the Shadow Fox. Umbreon's marking glow fiercly as it prepares to dodge Ninetales' flamethrower and then counterattack. In a dramatic display, a great wave crashes into the sea edged, forshadowing the fate of the attacking Ninetales.Darkness reigns supreme. Umbreon (c) Pokemon Corperation Art (c) me, Martin J. Owen Comments Oooh. Nice. That darkness just makes the fire that much more dramatic. Love the glowiness of those markings, too. What impresses me the most, though, are those clouds. Now that's atmosphere!

I have just a couple of small critiques. I hope you don't mind. One is the Umbreon's face. It looks a tad off. I think if you added more of a cheekbone/curve to it it would look better. Another is the wave crashing in the background. I think some lighter blue/white along the edge of it would help. And a few small drops of it coming off of the wave. Nothing too much. On the whole I love the picture. Good luck in the contest! -- What?   Classness

The umbreon was done from an old picture I did, before I learned what anatomy is. Thanks so much Dai!  -- "Beware of he would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master."  This looks really gorgeous. The background, with the clouds and all, looks really great, and I like the level of detail on their fur here and those flames. The only things that look a bit off are Umbreon's head and I can't tell where the sky ends and the ground begins. Overall, this looks great, though.
-- I am Pokemon #180 Flaaffy in DA's Pokemon Crew! Icon by ~angelishi. There should be a very faint, white line that goes across the horizon, particularly on the left side.
Umbreon's head was based off a drawing I did when I first started drawing. Simply because I have no reference pictures of the position *probably cause I have seen no one bold enough to try it and get it right*.
